White clay is baked with blue glaze.
Because the surface is smooth, the pink color feels like a peach.

My own work uses clay from Amakusa, Kyushu. In recent years, I have also blended gray clay and Shigaraki's translucent soil "transparent soil", but Amakusa pottery stone is still at the center of my production.
Amakusa is a highly plastic soil with a very smooth texture. I'm always thinking of making a shape that uses this plasticity. Even if you look at the tension of the "circle" that is bent, torn, and made by wheel molding, it looks very comfortable to your eyes. A shape that does not impair that tension is very important for my molding.
I like the celadon of Chinese ancient pottery and the celadon of contemporary artists, so I burn the gas kiln by reduction firing. Blue and white porcelain for me reflects "snow". Perhaps the main reason I returned to my hometown of Akita after 9 years of living in Mashiko was because I wanted to make a work of the winter scenery of Akita.

The recipe to eat with Mr. Tamura's bowl isHereYou can see it from.

Tamura Ichi's work is inspired by the winter sky in Akita.
A vessel that feels the beautiful pure white material of Amakusa and a vessel that is gently dyed in that white color.
From the vessel of Mr. Tamura, who was studying psychology in college, there is also a vessel that ponders human beings. The part dyed in gray is the color produced by smoking the rice husks of the sake "Aramasa" in Akita Prefecture.
