Collection: Satsuma Vidro


Satsuma Kiriko is a glass made in the Satsuma Domain in the late Edo period.
Crystal glass is used, and colored glass is welded to the surface of a colorless fabric called "color cover" by about 1 mm to 2 mm.
Satsuma Kiriko is a product in which the colored glass is cut and polished.

In this term, COLE selection introduces a work named Nijugise, which is a stack of two colored glass.
At Satsuma Bidoro Kogei Co., Ltd., which creates new and original works while pursuing the tradition of Satsuma Kiriko, production began as a standard around 2014, about 6 years ago.

All works come with a paulownia box.
